What You've Been Missing: August and September

End of the Summer:
Here's September's newsletter that sums up the last three teams and more!

Church of the Resurrection

Church of the Resurrection from Flagstaff, AZ put on 4 medical clinics in 4 days in 4 different communities.  They offered dental cleanings, fillings, extractions and wort removal.  What a blessing to the people of Honduras!

Sherer Presbyterian

Our final team put the finishing touches on the Kindergarten building in Las Delicias and a covered patio for church services in Barrio Eden.  One team member brought her harp and provided beautiful music during our mobile medical clinic.

Bethany Presbyterian

Bethany Presbyterian spent a week working alongside our team doing multiple construction projects, and playing with kids.  They had a blast every moment!

Prayer

  1. Pray for the Wellington Presbyterian Missions Conference.  Pray that God would be glorified in all the mission work being done through this church.
  2. Pray for love and wisdom for Adam and teammate Mike T. with our 5 Honduran pastors as their relationships and theological discussions deepen.
  3. We are continually reminded of the emotional and spiritual difficulties of serving cross-culturally.  Pray for health of our family and team in these areas.
  4. Pray that we would receive our Honduran Residency this month.
  5. Pray for the new coordinator of Mission To The World, Dr. Lloyd Kim as he assumes responsibility over our agency.

Summer Teams: Week Five

Parish Presbyterian from Franklin, Tennessee was just awesome!  They jumped in wherever they saw a need and needed very little prompting on our part!  The raised the roof (literally) on the Kindergarten building, read to children, participated in Kids Club and games, played soccer, played in the river, and just loved on anyone and everyone that was around in Las Delicias.  It was a joy to watch them serve alongside of us with such willing, energetic, and service oriented hearts!  They were truly the hands and feet of Christ!  We can't wait for them to come back next year!
